Sheehan’s syndrome with hypothyroidism: a rare case report

Sheehan's syndrome is a form of hypopituitarism caused by pituitary gland necrosis hemorrhagic shock during pregnancy. It's rare issue with wide range symptoms and long time to diagnose. A 40-year-old female presented giddiness which was rotatory type followed headache, vomiting associated nausea, decreased appetite for one week. She has experienced excessive vaginal bleeding secondary amenorrhea exists 20 years. Patients diagnosed have acute liver injury, hyponatremia, gastritis. The thyroid profile showed hypothyroidism the patient started on appropriate medication. Hypopituitarism due disease discovered after thorough clinical examination, endocrine investigations, magnetic resonance scan. Following start hormone replacement therapy, she significant improvement. current case demonstrates that undiagnosed linked long-term morbidity, we want emphasize importance high index suspicion early diagnosis routine visits avoid complications can arise from delayed diagnosis.
